Now into May and we have been very busy catching eels. The season started very well with all the warm weatherin April, with good catches of good size eels which are just right for smoking. The fishing has dropped slightly now with the cooler weather and also the long dry spell is starting to affect catches. A good rain to put some fresh water into the rivers would help.
